KEYNOTE ADDRESS

“What Comes After Next?” – Michael Nunan (even after a career in Sports Media, I’m not sure I’m confident enough to evoke The Great One with “Skate to where the puck is going to be!”)

In this provocative keynote, we’ll step beyond the well-worn question of “what’s the next big thing?” to explore a deeper, more vital one: what comes after that?

As media and audio technologies evolve from static systems to dynamic, intelligent infrastructures, we’re approaching a future where creativity is no longer constrained by tools—but amplified by them.

From adaptive soundtracks and object-based audio to metadata-aware workflows and machine-assisted storytelling, we’ll examine how today’s experiments are quietly shaping tomorrow’s norms. The future isn’t waiting to arrive—it’s already here, just unevenly distributed. Let’s take a look.
