Jeff Berryman has been active in concert sound since before 1970. His primary technical specialty has been concert loudspeaker system design. Over the years, he has developed more than forty major loudspeaker designs, for applications ranging from studio monitoring to stadium rock for audiences of 75,000.
Jeff was one of the founders of Jason Sound in Vancouver in 1974. He remained with the company through its acquisition by Westsun in 1996, to become Technical Director of Westsun Jason Sound.
In 2002, Jeff left Westsun with Jon Erickson to found Sound Art Touring, and, in 2004, he and Jon founded Jasonaudio.
In addition to his audio career, Jeff has had a 25-year career in computing, specializing in operating system, network, and application system architecture and design. Today, he brings this experience with him into his audio work.
Jeff's current technical interests include mathematical modeling of line arrays, designing line array components, improving concert bass reproduction, and designing advanced control and signal processing systems for optimizing array coverage and dynamics.
