Peter Moore
Peter J. Moore is a recording engineer, a record producer, a mastering and restoration engineer based in the Toronto area. Peter operates his various disciplines under several companies, MDI Productions, The E Room and most recently GPS. A recording and audio enthusiast from the age of six, Peter further honed his skills at University Of Western Ontario, working on-air at the campus radio station, CHRW. While there he started recording local groups and Canadian touring bands, and soon branched out to jazz & classical artists. Between studies Peter formed his label Silent Head Records.
Upon graduation in 1982, he founded MDI Productions in Toronto where he continued to produce rock, jazz, and classical recordings as well as film and TV scores. In 1985, when approached by Adcom Electronics to create and manage a new audio division, he designed systems & outfitted the major Canadian studios and broadcasters. In 1988, Peter produced the famous recording Cowboy Junkies åTrinity Sessions[pi]. This international success sold over 2 million copies the first year. Peter has been producing, mastering and restoring music full time ever since. Peter is a member of the AES, SMPTE and NAB and served on the Toronto AES Executive from [pi]85[not equal][pi]88 including the position of Section Chair.
