Daniel Pellerin Biography

Daniel Pellerin is the Director of Mixing Services - Independent Features at Deluxe Toronto. Among his many film credits Daniel has mixed all of Atom Egoyan's feature films including his latest "Felicia's Journey", "Exotica" and "The Sweet Hereafter" (Genie award winner - Best Overall Sound) all of which have been in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. Daniel is just finishing "Taste of Sunshine" with Oscar winning director Istvan Szabo for Robert Lantos' new film company Serendipity Point Films.

TV movies he has mixed include "Under the Piano" (Gemini award winner - Best Sound TV Movie), "Butterbox Babies", "Jane of Lantern Hill", "Looking for Miracles", "Promise the Moon", "Seasons of Love", "The Anne of Green Gables" Miniseries for Sullivan Films, as well as "Edison: The Wizard of Light" for Devine Entertainment.

Episodic television credits include the seven full seasons of Road to Avonlea (91 episodes), the second season of Straight Up, three seasons of Wind At My Back and the first season of The Rez.

Daniel has been nominated four times for Genie awards and nine times for Geminis in every sound category. He has won a Genie (The Sweet Hereafter), two Geminis (Musicians in Exile and Under The Piano), and a Hot Doc (Ebola: Inside an Outbreak). He has been nominated recently for two Hot Docs awards for "Hit Man Hart" and "A Place Called Chiapas" and was nominated for a daytime Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Mixing for "Edison: The Wizard of Light" for HBO.
