Live Cloud Production
The SMPTE Toronto Section (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) and the AES Toronto Section (Audio Engineering Society) are pleased to invite you to an exciting joint meeting.
Theme: Live Cloud Production and Associated Challenges
The media industry is undergoing rapid and transformative changes, and with the rising costs of production, cloud-based workflows are becoming essential for many broadcasters and small production companies.
We invite you to participate in this event, where we’ll delve into the nuances of live cloud production while showcasing its potential through a live demonstration.
Though the term “Cloud” metaphorically refers to the use of unseen and shared infrastructure, it can often appear daunting due to the technical jargon associated with it. For many, cloud-based workflows remain “uncharted territory.” Our goal is to shine a light on these workflows, providing clear insights into how they can be applied effectively.
What to Expect:
Our organizing committee has structured the event around key topics, including:
- Dynamic Media Facilities (DMF) aligned with the EBU’s DMF Reference Architecture.
- Live audio mixing and live video processing workflows.
- Networking requirements for cloud production.
- A demonstration highlighting the platform’s capabilities and flexibility.
This meeting promises to deliver valuable insights, whether you’re a professional looking to explore cloud workflows or someone eager to embrace this evolving technology.
