Immersive Audio in Cinema: Innovations and Challenges – a joint AES+SMPTE Toronto meeting
This event would explore the evolving landscape of audio in motion pictures, with a particular focus on immersive audio technologies like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D. We hope to delve into the innovations and challenges related to creating and delivering immersive audio experiences in cinema, streaming platforms, gaming and home theaters.

Toronto AES Seminar 2018: The State of The Sound
On September 23 and 24, 2018, the Toronto AES is celebrating its 50th year as a section of the Audio Engineering Society, and we’re holding a special two day long seminar to mark this special milestone! We’ve invited some of the AES’s best friends to join us, with presentations and interactive panel discussions that will highlight the state of the audio industry in Toronto, and show off some of our best achievements.

On May 16-17, 2010, The Toronto Audio Engineering Society brought together enterprising people like you who are in this business talking to each other, and us, about how you are adapting, evolving, or pioneering the business of making and selling music, with an emphasis on the technology side of it (since we are the AES).
Toronto AES Seminar 2008: The Roots of Our Toronto Sound
On October 25, 2008, a host of audio engineering professionals assembled to discuss the motivations, challenges and developments in studio recording, along with live mixing technologies and practices, and the design of equipment and facilities with a view to identifying what makes Toronto unique.
