Juri Nechaevski, a well respected CBC Broadcast Systems Engineer here in Toronto has sadly passed away.
Juri led countless projects across Canada. He may hold an unofficial world record of ‘number of audio channels connected’. Architecting CBC intercoms and Audio Mixing Rooms, mobile trucks, studios, Juri solved world class problems.
In 2007, Juri and the team at CBC hosted the Toronto Audio Engineering Society on a tour showcasing the 5.1 Surround Sound Studios.
He was an active member of the Toronto Audio Engineering Society and mentored countless engineers, technicians and operators in his career.
The Toronto AES extends its condolences to his family, friends and co-workers.
